Decent for the price but not for a true audiophile : Planet Audio TQ522 5.25-Inch 2-Way Poly Injection cone Speaker System (Black)
I replaced the factory speakers in my Audi 90 SQ with these. After all my work I pulled them back out and put the original factory speakers back in. Both were being powered with 18 Watts continuous from my Alpine CDE-102 deck so I was comparing apples to apples. I did a side by side sound comparison. I thought I'd be able to get by cheap to get some high end sound quality but I was sorely mistaken. Don't expect this to be anywhere close to say Infinity speakers. What is the difference you ask? A $50 Infinity speaker will be clearer, louder, and much tighter sound. With a good speaker like an infinity the sound "hits". These speakers are a good replacement if you only need to listen to AM radio. If you are expecting any bass response think again. I seriously doubt the low end of their claimed frequency range is really 65HZ. I used a low pass filter trying cut offs at 60HZ and 80HZ and 80HZ sounded much better. I would guess this speakers true frequency range is more like 75-80HZ on the low end. This speaker is good but not great for mid to high range. If you have a sub woofer to produce bass these would be acceptable especially if you put an amp on them to match their continuous power rating which would probably improve their sound over the 18 watts I was feeding them. Just don't buy these if you plan to power them just off your deck and expect any bass out of them or an improvement over your factory speakers for that matter. That was the mistake I made. To audio planet's credit, I did keep the 4" version of these up front to replace the blow factory speakers. Again the bass was a little weaker than the factory speakers but the highs and mids were comparable. The difference in sound quality was not as noticeable on the smaller speakers which require less power to drive them.
